text seo

If you are new to seo, I'd like to give you a few ideas that will help point you in the right direction. Search engine optimization using the main text of your page (text seo) is a vital part of ranking organically in the SE's. In fact, this page is a great example of text seo since I am using the keyword (also the page title) in the body of the text. But I didn't just post the page for traffic without caring about the content. This page contains legitimate information that will help others get their pages ranked. Are you with me?
I'm a big fan of organic traffic (your website listed for free in search results). This is not always an easy task.
There are other forms of seo that need to be considered. Meaning... not just the text is important.
Try to find a domain name that is relevant to your website. But make sure that domain name is a good keyword. I'll explain. I actually owned 15 or so domain names before I learned about keyword marketing. I lost more money than I made.
You need to use a keyword research tool. A great free one is the Google Adwords Keyword Tool. Everything is done online, and there is nothing to install on your computer. Another great tool is Keyword Elite. It is a piece of software that you buy and install. It has quite a few more features than the free Google tool... but it's not free. Another way to do keyword research is Wordtracker.com. It is a membership site that you pay for every month but I hear it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I have never personally used it so I don't know for sure.
Anyway, the goal is to find "good" keywords. After you have a good keyword, buy the same domain name... that matches the keyword. You will end up ranking number one for that keyword. The problem I had before is I was ranked number 1 for keywords that no one was searching for. Silly me. I had no idea. I thought being at the top of 1 million search results meant a ton of traffic to my site. Not necessarily. Only if people are searching for that phrase.
Once you have a good keyword and the domain name, you can post a free blog as well. For your blog title, use the SAME keyword phrase. So if you use blogger, a free service owned by Google (I recommend you do) your website address will begin with your keyword, and then .blogspot.com.
Now post a link TO your blog FROM your main site, and also a link FROM your blog TO your main site. If you have a third site or blog, do a three way link instead. This is better than a two way link. Need an example? Site A links to site B, site B links to site C, and site C links to site A. Get it? Google puts more "weight" on three way linking than two way linking. Even if you have more than 3 sites, you can randomly link them together. Just don't link every site to every site. Does that make sense?
You can repeat this process, and end up with SEVERAL first page listings for the same "good" keyword, thus reaping the majority of the traffic.
And last but not least, when using search engine tricks and text seo like this, try to use your keyword in the first and last paragraph of your text. This will make your blog page or web page keyword rich, meaning Google will love it and rank it. I don't do it every time, but you should at least try. Obviously this isn't my only website... GOOD LUCK!
To your Success,

P.S. I think you will do better using lowercase when promoting your keyword since that is how people type it into the search bar. I noticed a different list of results one time when typing the same keyword into the search bar, both lowercase and with the first letter uppercase. Believe it or not, it makes a difference.
